Seniiorwear Won the 2025 NOVI Grant
In October 2025, I received the NOVI Grant on behalf of my company, which was then called Fashion for Ældre and is now known as Seniiorwear.
The grant was presented on October 24 at UCN’s Innovation House following a final with four other entrepreneurs from UCN. For me, it was an important recognition of both the idea behind Seniiorwear and the need the company was created to address.
The idea grew out of my work as a nurse
Through my work as a nurse in nursing homes and home care, I have seen how challenging conventional clothing can become when mobility is limited.
Putting on and taking off clothing can be difficult for the individual. Dressing and the transfers sometimes involved can also be physically demanding for care staff and family caregivers.
I wanted to develop functional, adaptive clothing for older adults in which practical features are integrated naturally into the garments without giving them an institutional appearance. The aim is to make dressing easier both for older adults who manage self-dressing and for those who receive assistance.
The NOVI Grant enables further development
The NOVI Grant has a total value of DKK 300,000 and enables me to continue developing, testing, and improving Seniiorwear’s products.
It is essential that the clothing works in real-life situations. That is why features such as fit, fabrics, openings, and closures are tested in collaboration with the people who will wear the garments and those who assist them with dressing.
From Fashion for Ældre to Seniiorwear
When I received the NOVI Grant, the company was called Fashion for Ældre. This is why that name appears in some of the coverage published in 2025.
Today, the company is called Seniiorwear, but its purpose remains the same: to develop clothing that makes dressing easier and more manageable for older adults, people with limited mobility, and those who assist them.
This includes solutions for people who want to manage more of the dressing process themselves, as well as clothing for assisted dressing when help is provided by care staff or a family caregiver.
Winning the NOVI Grant has given me the opportunity to develop these solutions more thoroughly. Seniiorwear’s products are developed around real-life needs and in close collaboration with users and care professionals.
I am very grateful for the confidence that NOVI and UCN have shown in Seniiorwear. Their support is helping the company progress from its first prototypes toward products that can make a meaningful difference in everyday life.
