The team behind Seniiorwear
My name is Malene Kobbersmed, and I am a qualified Danish nurse with experience in both care homes and home care. I work closely with a carefully selected group of specialist including occupational therapists, health and social care assistants, a clothing designer and our manufacturing partner.
Together with seniors with reduced mobility and with input from their families and care homes we develop and refine adaptive clothing based on experiences and practical everyday challenges. By combining professional expertise with first hand experience, we create solutions that reduce physical strain, improve functionality and make dressing easier.
Our designer supports the technical development of each design, helping to turn practical needs into functional garments that combine comfort, style and ease of use.
We have chosen a European manufacturing partner in Lithuania because high quality, responsible production and durable materials are essential to us. Our manufacturing partner holds extensive certifications covering quality, environmental responsibility and social standards, giving us confidence in every product we offer. Why I created Seniiorwear
My name is Malene, and I founded Seniiorwear in 2025 with support from Mikrolegatet and the NOVI Grant. Seniiorwear grew from my experience as a nurse and my desire to create better solutions for seniors and people with reduced mobility. Through my work, I have seen how much effort getting dressed can require, both for the individual and for family members and care professionals.
My aim is to create high quality adaptive clothing that makes dressing easier, reduces strain during transfers and helps people maintain their independence without compromising on comfort, dignity or style. Every detail is carefully considered, from the placement of openings and ergonomic features to the choice of materials, overall comfort and ease of use.
